Simha Haddad is a versatile journalist, award-winning author, and communications specialist based in Nevada. She holds a BA in Communications Studies from the University of Maryland G.C. and an MS in Communications from Northwestern University.  

Simha has served as the Diversity Reporter for the prestigious Los Angeles Blade, one of America’s foremost LGBT newspapers, delving into a wide array of topics ranging from profiling political figures to exploring social justice issues, hate crimes, queer arts and entertainment, and more. Her YA queer fiction novel, Somewhere on This Rainbow, earned her a Best Indie Book Award in 2022. A passionate advocate for inclusivity, she was also a contributor to the FeministBookClub.com blog and podcast, amplifying diverse voices and perspectives. Simha also lent her talents as a staff writer for The Georgia Hollywood Review Magazine. Her short stories, poems, and articles have also appeared in various publications, including her short story “Masks” published by the HG Wells Short Story Competition.

In addition to her writing, Simha has deepened her investment in queer civil rights, exemplified by her role in moderating the 2024 senatorial forum between Adam Schiff, Katie Porter, and Barbara Lee. This event, organized in conjunction with EQCA, the Trans Latina Coalition, and the Los Angeles LGBT Center, showcased her commitment to fostering dialogue and progress within the LGBTQIA+ community and beyond.
